The exhibition of works by Emilio Vedova set in the sanctity of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco is presented as an itinerary aimed at deciphering the works of the Venetian artist alongside those of his declared teacher: Jacopo Tintoretto.
Emilio Vedova visited the rooms of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco at a very early age and began making his first drawings inspired by the master’s work in 1936 when he was just seventeen. His intention was not to make a copy of his paintings from life, but in a more profound sense to assimilate the concepts behind their style.
