Cannaregio je jednou zo šiestich mestských častí Benátok. Je to druhá najväčšia a najľudnatejšia štvrť Benátok. Má veľmi bohatú históriu, ktorá siaha až do počiatočného rozvoja Benátok. Kedysi to bola hlavná cesta do mesta z pevniny. Pred výstavbou železnice v roku 1846 mal tento kanál veľký význam pre benátsky obchod a cestovanie.
