Teatro Toniolo, located in Mestre  Mestre on Venice Mainland, was inaugurated in 1912. Performance programs range from Shakespeare to local drama, and chamber music to Italian vocalists, occasionally in the Venetian dialect. The acoustics in this theatre are excellent and it is extremely comfortable. The theatre lacks free parking but you can try the pay car parking in Piazzale Candiani.

The original theatres has been fully restored and was re-opened to the public in December 2003. It is now the main reference point for theatrical life on the Venice mainland. This theatre is also the venue for a variety of Venice events and festivals such as prose, classical, comical and Italian music concerts, as well as amateur theatre and dance.

The theatre can accommodate 800 people and can easily be reached by public transport. It also has disabled access.
