There are several ways to reach Venice depending on your budget and preferences. Here are the most common options:

By Plane: There are two landing opportunities in Venice. Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), located in Tessera in the Mainland, and the "Nicelli" Aero Club, located on the Isle of Lido.

The first one is the main airport serving Venice and it allows international lines to land. It is located around 8 kilometres away from the historical city centre. But, when you travel to Venice Hotels on a small private aircraft, the second would fit better.

By Train: Venice was first connected to the Mainland by a four-kilometre-long railroad bridge built by the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It ends at the Santa Lucia railway station which is the main train station in Venice.

By Bus: Several bus companies offer service to Venice. These include FlixBus, BlaBlaCar Bus (formerly Ouibus or iDBUS), and Itabus. When you arrive in Venice, your bus will likely drop you off at Piazzale Roma, the main bus station in Venice.
